Destiny’s “House of Wolves” Info Leaked

A new leak has shown off potential descriptions of items, missions, weapons, and armor for Destiny’s newest expansion, House of Wolves, and Reddit user megamanexe4 gained access to the currently-hidden content and claims that it is all due to unlock on May 19th. That date is a Tuesday, which would fit with both the game’s weekly reset and the release of previous expansion The Dark Below. Bungie had confirmed the new expansion, and clarified that it was set for a Q2 launch, which means sometime from April 1st to June 30th, and the leaked date falls in between.

“In Q2, we expect to launch the game’s second expansion pack, House of Wolves, and later this year, we will announce a major content release for the fall, so stay tuned,” Activision executive Eric Hirshberg told investors during a financial call last night. fully called Comet: Plague of Darkness and offers the largest lump of new content since Destiny‘s launch, and would add a playable new zone to the game, in addition to multiple new missions.

While the leak is confirmed, the new content is not. The leaked description for the expansion is, “The Queen’s Fallen have purchased their freedom with Awoken blood. Hunt down the traitors and your debt to the Queen will be paid.” Key details uncovered include thorough descriptions of missions, as well as images of new weapons, and armour. For Destiny players, the leak showed a new Awoken storyline plus an exclusive Raid, 3 new Crucible maps and a new Fallen Strike, and hundreds of new weapon and pieces of gear. An image gallery of the leaked items can be seen here on GameSpot’s page.

Meanwhile, Bungie’s community manager David Dague said on Destiny’s forums that, “Aside from giving it a name, Bungie has yet to reveal the House of Wolves. That means that anything you know about it can change. We have a team working on the experience in their own fancy room, and they have some exciting surprises up their sleeves.” He goes on to say that these items exist hidden in the game code currently as placeholders for future, real content, and that, “All we ask is that you leave your mind open to the evolution’s that are inevitable. What you see here are very old ghosts from our pre-launch database. These are not necessarily the wolves you’re looking for.”

Based on the information, the only thing that Destiny players can look forward to is the expansion to release on May 19th. House of Wolves would be Destiny’s second major expansion, preceded by The Dark Below. Destiny is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
