OnePlus One Mini specs leaked showing off cheap mid-ranger
The OnePlus One Mini is a new concept in my mind, since this is the first time I’ve heard rumors about the smaller version of the OnePlus One flagship killer. Rumors say that the OnePlus One Mini is actually a reality and encompasses an even cheaper version of the original, with mid-range innards. Leaked photos of the OnePlus One Mini have popped up out of nowhere showing off an affordable, yet pretty powerful smartphone with a Snapdragon 615 CPU.
An Antutu bechmark result showing up in one of the leaked OnePlus One Mini photos shows off the mid-range internals of the new device, detailing a 5 inch display, the aforementioned Snapdragon 615 CPU, an 8 MP primary and another 7 MP secondary camera, as well as Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Even though we weren’t expecting a OnePlus One Mini, just the OnePlus Two, we’re glad to see the mid-ranger show up because it might suggest that OnePlus is thinking about selling this phone as is, without an invite system. The $245 estimated OnePlus One Mini price might seem a bit far-fetched, considering the fact that for $50 more you can get your hands on the more powerful OnePlus One, but that’s the hint that suggests that the mid-ranger might be sold in the new stores in China and India.
The OnePlus One Mini release date is supposedly set for the beginning of 2015 and its price should be around $245, which is quite acceptable for the hardware it packs. Otherwise, we don’t know much about the OnePlus One Mini, aside from the fact that it doesn’t differ too much in design from the original flagship killer. In terms of specs, that’s all we could find out at the moment, but new leaks should pop up in no time. We are still more interested in the OnePlus Two, though, since it will supposedly come with a Snapdragon 810 CPU, a 5.5 inch QHD display and a 16 MP main camera. In any case, we are curious about the OnePlus One Mini and wonder if we’re looking at an actual upcoming release or just at a hoax. Whichever the case may be, we are glad to see OnePlus opening new stores in India and China and selling a cheap mid-ranger would be a good start.
