Final Fantasy XIV Celebrates the Holidays

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is a hit MMORPG by Square Enix. In order to help get players into a festive mood, the game is holding the Starlight Celebration at the moment.

From now until December 31st, the Starlight Celebration is being held in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. During this event, gamers can participate in special quests to get items such as the Starlight Tunic and False Mustache. They can also receive items such as the Starlight Wreath, Princess Pudding, and the Hoary the Snowman minion. Square Enix is also giving away a Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Christmas theme for the PlayStation 3 and 4.

A remake of the original Final Fantasy XIV Online, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn first released in 2013 for the PC and PlayStation 3. The game saw release on the PlayStation 4 in 2014. In the game, players create a character, and choose their name, race, gender, facial features, and starting class. Different races have different starting stats, meaning that certain races fit certain classes better than others. Starting classes are sorted into two categories: Disciples of War and Disciples of Magic. The Disciples of War are your more physical classes, such as the Lancer and Archer. The Disciples of Magic are the opposite, as they are magic users, such as the Conjurer and Arcanist. The five starting races that players can choose are: the human-like Hyur, the elf-like Elezen, the tiny Lalafell, the rugged Roegadyn, and the cat-like Miqo’te. It has been revealed that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be receiving a full expansion soon titled Heavesward, which you can read about here.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. At the moment, Square Enix is offering a free trial for the game. Players will be able to play a character up to level 20 during this trial.
