Batman: Arkham Knight BatMobile Edition Canceled
If you’re a huge video game fan, you’re most likely waiting in anticipation for Rocksteady’s end to their Arkham trilogy, Batman: Arkham Knight. Frankly, even if you aren’t the biggest gamer you should still be excited for this epic adventure. Unfortunately, some recent news might bring down your excitement if you are on of many who preordered the Barman: Arkham Knight BatMobile Edition. It appears Rocksteady has decided to cancel the release of this version.
According to reports, the reason for the cancellation was due to the quality of the BatMobile figure that was to come with this collector’s edition. This figure was actually supposed to transform in some way, but I guess they just couldn’t get the product up to standards in time for the release next week. The Batman: Arkham Knight BatMobile Edition was also supposed to come with come with an 80 page art book, a steel book case, a limited edition DC comic book, and three New 52 skins for the game.
As a form of apology from Rocksteady, they will be giving those who ordered the BatMobile edition the three New 52 skins for free. These include skins for Batman, Robin, and Nightwing. There is no word, however, if anything will happen with the art book or comic. It would be a shame if they never saw the light of day, but let’s hope that doesn’t happen.
Don’t let this news spoil your fun too much Batman: Arkham Knight is still coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 23rd. BatMobile edition or not, I’ll be picking up a copy.
