Dragon Quest Heroes II arrives this April

Dragon Quest Heroes is back with a second instalment titled Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy End; the game will be available worldwide this April.  Dragon Quest Heroes II, the sequel to Dragon Quest Heroes: The Worlds Tree’s Woes and the Blight Below, plot is set in a tranquil and quiet land comprised of seven autonomous kingdoms.  However, peace is abruptly disturbed and war ensues between the seven kingdoms.  Shortly afterwards heroes from different kingdoms unite in the hope of restoring order to the land.

Dragon Quest Heroes II, unlike previous titles in the Dragon Quest series, allows players to enjoy more aspects of a role-playing game. Nevertheless, it remains consistent with the original Dragon Quest series in regards to world exploration; where players can sojourn towns, travel around the world map, and launch attacks on unsuspecting monsters initiating battle stages.

Dissimilar to the previous title, Dragon Quest Heroes: The Worlds Tree’s Woes and the Blight Below, Dragon Quest Heroes II features new protagonists. The classes available for players to assume are the same, including martial artist, mage, monk, thief, and warrior. In addition, players can learn random weapon skills from the weapons merchant, depending on their mastery of a particular weapon. Moreover, Dragon Quest Heroes II includes different armaments and outfits that player can dress their characters in.

The progression and course of the story within Dragon Quest Heroes II still relies on the player’s ability to complete the crucial battle stages.  Another novel element introduced in this game is two-player co-op. This feature is available throughout the main story and players can access it by selecting the “Assist” option in the primary battle menu.

Dragon Quest Heroes II arrived in Japan on the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and PS Vita in May 2016 and will arrive in Europe on April 28 and in North America on April 25.
