Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will feature a lengthy campaign

Call of Duty games have traditionally been known for their multiplayer component and not for their campaign, but Sledgehammer Games wants to change all that with the next title in the series. According co CCO Glen Schofield, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will feature a pretty lengthy campaign, or at least longer than those of the previous games. He didn’t mention any specific titles, but he did say “the last few” games so we assume he’s talking about Call of Duty: Ghosts, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. While the multiplayer component will be very important in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the team is working hard to make sure that we also get a very good campaign this time around.

Sledgehammer even went as far as to hire famous actor Kevin Spacey for the role of the main antagonist. Aside from the Hollywood star, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will also feature a wide variety of futuristic weapons and gadgets so the game will be pretty different than the previous installments. This was a really great decision by Sledgehammer as a lot of people were starting to say that the whole franchise is way to repetitive and hasn’t brought anything new to the table in years. That being said, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare received a bit of criticism as well, even though the game hasn’t even been launched yet. A number of people have claimed that the game is rather similar to Titanfall, with one Twitter user calling it a ripoff of Respawn Entertainment’s title/

Sledgehammer Co-founder Michael Condrey responded to these accusations by saying “not worried about it. When people play it in Nov, it will speak for itself.” Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be released on November 4th on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
