The next game from the legendary Hideo Kojima is coming soon, with Death Stranding set to launch later this week. The review embargo for the game lifted last week, and critics were all over the place in terms of a consensus. If you’re planning on picking the game up then you’ll need to know the file size, and we have that information for you.
When viewing the game’s page on the PlayStation Store we can see that the download file size is 55 GB, which isn’t as bad as it could have been considering it being a brand new AAA release. However, this doesn’t account for day one patches that can easily cause this file size to increase 10+ GB, so keep that in mind.
The following is a breakdown of the game from the PlayStation store page:
“From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an all-new, genre-defying experience for the PlayStation®4 system. Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the disconnected remnants of our future in his hands, he embarks on a journey to reconnect the shattered world one step at a time. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and humanity on the verge of a mass extinction, it’s up to Sam to journey across the ravaged continent and save mankind from impending annihilation. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? An unprecedented gameplay experience holds these answers and more.”
Death Stranding will launch for PS4 on November 8th, with a PC version of the game set to launch at some point in 2020.
