Final Fantasy XIII-2 on PC to includes DLCs, but not all

Earlier this month, publisher Square Enix had revealed Final Fantasy XIII-2 would be making its way to PC owners on December 11th, and it’ll include downloadable packages from the console versions. Yesterday, Square had explained said PC version will come packed with most but not all of the console DLC.

“We managed to get the vast majority of the console DLC bundled together in the PC version but sadly we weren’t able to get all of the original console DLC in there due to licensing and contractual restrictions,” Square Enix explained. “That means that the other console DLC content will not be released with the original Windows PC release of Final Fantasy XIII-2, or later on as separate update content.”

Additionally, unlike the PC version of the first entry in the XIII saga, Final Fantasy XIII-2 will include 60 frames-per-second and resolution support. Thankfully, an update scheduled for December will add the same options to Final Fantasy XIII, as well. Final Fantasy XIII-2 will cost you $20. Check out the complete list of DLC below.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 had received highly positive reviews from Japanese critics and generally positive reviews from Western video game journalists. Though praised for its gameplay, lack of linearity and graphics, the game’s story was criticized as weak and confusing. During the first week of sales in Japan, the game sold 524,000 units, becoming the fifth-best selling game of 2011 in Japan, and sold 3 million copies worldwide by January 2013. A sequel, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, was released in November 2013 in Japan and February 2014 in North America and Europe.
