Japanese Special Editions of Persona 4 Rhythm Game include a Persona 5 Blu-Ray

Hey, remember that Persona 4 Dancing game that Atlus announced? Yeah, well, as its release date inches ever closer, and Persona 5 has been taking more and more press space, Atlus threw another proverbial log on the fire: Japanese gamers can get a special Persona 5 Blu-Ray with various versions of Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night is a rhythm game based on the Persona 4 series, which includes various music from the game (Including “Pursuing My True Self”) remixed by musicians such as Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill, Dance Dance Revolution) and Japanese pop star Daisuke Asakura.  As far as play style goes, it’s not unlike the Project Diva games (which makes sense, since they both have the same developer, Dingo), only you get to watch characters such as Nanako, Teddie, and Yu dance around like pop stars to remixed tunes. Considering that Persona 4 is all the rage right now, it’s not surprising that Atlus is releasing two different special editions of the game, both with their own set of goodies:

The first version, “Persona 4: Dancing All Night Crazy Value Pack”, includes the game, the Persona 5 Blu-Ray, the game’s soundtrack, free DLC, and a decorative special edition storage box. It will sell for around 9, 980 yen (excluding tax), which runs for about 85 US dollars. The second version, “Persona 4: Dancing All Night Premium Crazy Box” includes everything from the Dancing All Night Crazy Value Pack, except as an added bonus, you get a Special Edition Persona 4 Playstation Vita console, with a special theme pre-installed onto it. Considering that this comes with a Playstation Vita, this bad boy runs for around 28, 980 yen, or about 250 bucks. As for the Persona 5 Blu-Ray itself? It’s a blu-ray designed for PS3 and PS4 consoles, with exclusive content made just for this. Famitsu was tight-lipped on what could be on it, though; we’ll just have to wait and see. It’s also unknown whether these special editions (and the special Persona 5 blu-ray) will come stateside when the game is released over here; only time will tell on that one.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night will be released in Japan on June 25, 2015 for the Playstation Vita. Persona 5’s release date is unknown; we’ll get more details on that as it develops. To watch Persona 4: Dancing All Night’s trailer, you can click on the video below.
