Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will get Amiibo starter bundle featuring popular characters

Nintendo’s Smash Bros. newest release has been seeing a lot of spotlight in the gaming world mostly because of the high volume of information and demos pouring down on the web until its official release. Since the game was released in Japan on 9/13/2014, it was clear that the Super Smash Bros. madness will take over. Walmart has already made available on their official website an Amiibo Super Smash Bros. starter bundle for Wii U which enthusiastic buyers will be able to pre-order as we speak. The package will include a Super Smash Bros. copy for Wii U and three Amiibo figurines: Pikachu, Mario and Link. The retail price Walmart has set for the bundle is 99.9 $.

The official release date for the bundle is set to 12/31/2014, but signs are it will be postponed after Nintendo announced they have news regarding Super Smash Bros. release date on Wii U.  Europe and Northern America will be seeing the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. in stores October the 3rd, while the Wii U version of the game is expected to come out sometime this fall. A demo version of the game for 3DS consoles will show in US on September 19th. Nintendo officials have announced that codes for the demo 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. will be sent via email to select Club Nintendo platinum members.

Allegedly, the players who will receive the game codes will also be granted with four additional codes to share with their friends. The total numbers of characters will amount to 51, consisting of 17 brand new fighters, including third party characters such as Mega Man and Pac-Man. As announced earlier this year, the Nintendo GameCube controller will be sold separately, or in a special Super Smash Bros. bundle. Club Nintendo members will also receive a two Cd promotional soundtrack if they will purchase and register both versions of the game. The game seems to be heading again towards massive success being received well by critics, with a multiplayer mode as one of its strong points. The 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. was awarded a score of 37 out of 40 by Japanese video gaming publication Famitsu.
