Vodafone UK offers the Samsung Galaxy S5 with a free Gear Fit

If you live in the UK and plan to buy a Samsung Galaxy S5, now’s the perfect time to pick one up from Vodafone. Samsung’s flagship is the fastest selling Galaxy model yet, selling 10 million units in the first 25 days. If you order one online from Vodafone UK, you will get a Galaxy Fit with it for free. The Galaxy S5 was released with Health 3.0, to help users keep track of their exercise and diet. The S5 also features a heart rate monitor, built into the back of the device. These features work well with the Gear Fit, that allows even more monitoring of the users general health and physical activity.

Wearable devices like the Gear Fit have seen a rise in popularity in the past few months. These devices can monitor calories, steps taken, weight, exercise and quality of sleep. The Galaxy Fit will work in tandem with your Samsung Galaxy S5, displaying all the regular notifications such as texts, emails, incoming calls and even social media alerts. If you like to keep track of your workout, the Gear Fit will provide you with a pedometer, heart rate monitor and will offer coaching modes and real-time performance feedback.

In case you forgot, the Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch HD display, Qualcomm Sanpdragon 2.5Ghz quad-core processor, 2GB of ram, 16/32Gb of internal storage and 16MP camera. Both the Galaxy S5 and Gear Fit are water and dust resistant, perfect if you have an active lifestyle. The Samsung Galaxy S5 / Gear Fit bundle is available online and in select Vodafone stores until July 1. It can be ordered with any 3G or 4G data plan. If you were already planning to by an S5, this offer should sweeten the deal. You may not have much use for the Gear Fit, but getting things for free is always nice.
