Mighty Gunvolt Receives DLC Trailer

Mighty Gunvolt was a game that was included with the purchase of 2D sidescroller Azure Striker Gunvolt. Now the title has received a trailer for an upcoming DLC package that the game will be getting soon.

Mighty Gunvolt will have a standalone release on November 28th, and will be available in the 3DS eShop. The game will also receive a DLC package on the same day. To anticipate the game and DLC release, a trailer was released giving details on what comes in the package (seen below). The DLC will be sold at $2.99, and will feature 4 new stages and bosses. The stages are: the “Bio Lab” with Azure Striker Gunvolt’s Elise, the “Highway” with Mighty No. 7, the “Factory” with Mighty No. 1, and the “Gym” with Mr. Happiness from Gal*Gun.

A 2D sidescrolling mash-up, Mighty Gunvolt features characters from three Mega Man inspired series. Players will be able to take control of Azure Striker Gunvolt’s titular hero, Beck from Mighty No. 9, and Ekoro from Gal*Gun. Each has their own style as they battle through various stages. Not only were these games inspired by the Mega Man series, but Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune also helped with Azure Striker Gunvolt, and is leading the production of Mighty No. 9.

The release of the game will come with the version 2.0.0 update for early adopters of Mighty Gunvolt. The update includes:

  • The ability to exit from the Stage Select screen to the title screen
  • New animations for all characters upon entering and exiting a stage
  • Shorter time required to charge Gunvolt’s charge attack
  • Increased number of shots that Ekoro can fire at once, as well as making her Lock-On Shot more effective at converting enemies
  • Re-balancing with enemies
  • More hidden items

Mighty Gunvolt and its DLC both release on November 28th on the 3DS. The game will run gamers $3.99.
