The Wii U GameCube adapter is back in stock at GameStop

Wii U GameCube Adapter Bundle Back in Stock

Wii U GameCube adapters released with the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. They were incredibly popular and sold out quickly. Now, gamers will have another chance at picking up the adapter at Amazon.

The GameCube adapter for the Wii U will once again be packaged with Super Smash Bros. at Amazom. The bundle will sell for $109.97. The bundle comes packaged with the adapter, the game, and a GameCube controller. This is a good deal compared to buying the adapter on the secondhand market, as buying them all separately would come out much more expensive. The bundle will ship on January 2nd. The GameCube controller will only work with Super Smash Bros.

Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U released this past November. The game also released on the Nintendo 3DS the month before. Both games have been critically acclaimed, and can be considered some of the best games on their respective platforms. The games feature a roster of 49 characters, including 15 newcomers. One of the new characters is the Mii Fighter, who can be customized into three different fighting styles: Brawler, Swordfighter, and Gunner. This technically brings the roster up to 51. Any Mii on the console can be chosen, and any of them can choose from the three fighting styles. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U did not feature long time fighters Ice Climbers this time around. The duo were removed from the game due to limitations of the 3DS hardware. Some of the transforming characters were separated into single fighters for the same reason, leading to Zelda and Sheik being separated, as well as Samus and Zero Suit Samus. The fan requested fighter Mewtwo will be returning, who Nintendo will release in Spring 2015.

Players can expect to be able to pick up the bundle on January 2nd. Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U is available now.
