Meta Knight coming to Super Smash Bros.

Today, Masahiro Sakurai, game director at Super Smash Bros., has announced that Meta Knight from the Kirby franchise will join the fight in the upcoming fighting game. Meta knight also made an appearance in the Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii in 2008.

Big changes have been announced to this particular character as Sakurai stated on Miiverse: ” Meta Knight’s Up Special Move,Shuttle Loop, changed quite a bit in this game,” Sakurai also says “The glide is gone, and the attack slashes opponents twice while spinning in a large loop. This has turned into a highly technical and effective move.” Meta Knight has been banned from official competitions as it has been proved too unbalanced and strong compared to the other characters. With the addition of Meta knight, the game features 37 unique characters from Mario to Pac-Man and some characters new to the franchise.
